Roundtrip excursion in one day departing from Marrakech towards Ouarzazate, crossing Tiz’n Tichka to the interior of the Atlas, we will enjoy incredible landscapes and beautiful Kasbahs or fortifications that crown the Tichka port, up to the old palace known as “Lord of the Atlas.” We will also visit the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of the largest and best preserved in Morocco. This Kasbah has been declared a World Heritage Site and several famous films such as “Lawrence of Arabia” or “Babel” have been filmed there. After a visit to the village and surroundings we will return to Marrakech at sunset.
At 07:00 h, picked up by our local guide at the hotel, and start the tour heading south with a 4×4 direction to Ouarzazate, passing by Tiz’n Tichka (or Tichka port), the highest road stop from Morocco, where we will enjoy some incredible landscapes. After crowning the port of Tichka we will deviate towards the interior of the Atlas to visit the famous Kasbah of Telouet or Kasbah de Glaoui, ancient palace of the mythical El Hadj Thami El Mezouari el Glaoui, known as the “Lord of the Atlas”. After the visit we will continue our journey through one of the most beautiful and unknown routes in Morocco that will take us, crossing the Atlas Mountains and its spectacular landscapes, to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the largest and best preserved of Morocco declared a world heritage site by UNESCO and the site of multiple film productions such as the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “El Cielo Protector” or “Babel”. After lunch, we will visit the town and cross the Atlas Mountains again, we will return to Marrakech, to arrive at sunset.
